Salvaged from the wreck of a project that never made it to port, the Windjammer EP is a collection of original and traditional songs about the sea and those who live on it. With sounds ranging from Watersons-style vocal harmony to Tom Waits-style junkyard poetry, these songs tackle everything from fishing in Norfolk to mysterious shipwrecks on our own Lake Michigan.

The purpose of this album is threefold- one, to explore the capabilities of the Irish bouzouki as a versatile, modern instrument, one that can reflect the everyday of the 21st century. Two, to show the commonality between all English-language folksong, regardless of national origin. Three, to reflect the lifeblood of traditional music: brisk and well. The title is the state of traditional music in the 21st century: not in the archives, not in the Renaissance Faires, but Brisk and Well.

Out the Hollow Tree is the debut solo folk album by accordion-wielding songspinner Matthew DeChant. The album explores the question- what would folk music look like in a world where the fae, the otherworldly, had a more concrete presence in daily life? Charting this theme against the rise and fall of industrial society, DeChant takes the Anglophone folk traditions pioneered by the likes of Peter Bellamy and A. L. Lloyd and interjects supernatural folklore as well as the local history of his native Wisconsin. Hear songs of myth and legend, the rumbles of land and sea long since forgotten to time- songs from a world just off our own.
